Alt. Titles/Versions
- "1-20-03 song" - The song was commonly referred to as '1-20' until 2005. The first recording of the song was the clean guitar intro heard in the 2005 recording. There was also a version with vocals using completely different lyrics and a slightly different vocal melody. (1:42)
- "1-20 Revisited" - Expanded version of the original demo; August '03. Essentially the same as the first 3 minutes of the 2005 recording. (2:46)
- "Atropos Turned" - Version recorded in 2005. The first few minutes of this version are the exact tracks (excluding bass) from '1-20 Revisited' with added vocals. Created in haste to be done in time to be reviewed by our high school newspaper. First version to feature vocals with current lyrics and the heavy instrumental second half. (8:27)
- Acoustic version - Recorded Oct. 2008. Live acoustic and vocal track, organ overdub. Only version to feature further vocals in the latter half of the song. (5:00)
- Alt. Electric version - Version featured in the 2009 recording. Somewhat based on the acoustic version, and created to facilitate playing the song live. (4:39)
Lyrics
If there is
A hardly impossible path we're on
Can I surpass the meanings
And live for a little while?
I don't know
How much longer I can last right here
I can't say
If the tides of fate will turn for my sake
Here and now
Is under the control of her
Hoping now
That staying off course is easy as denial
I don't know
How much longer I can last right here
I can't say
If the tides of fate will turn for my sake
Did she deal me a hand
That I can play this time
Deal me a love
That I can live this time
---lines below only in acoustic version---
(Will my love)
(Will she come to me)
(Will my love)
(Will she stay with me)
(Will my love)
(Will she believe in me)
(Will my love)
(Will she love me)
(Love me)
